Yael Pasmanik is an accomplished multidisciplinary artist based in Tel Aviv, Israel. She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts from Shenkar Multidisciplinary Art School in 2018 and is currently pursuing her Master of Arts in the Interdisciplinary Arts program at Tel Aviv University.
Her primary focus at present is on printmaking, and since 2018, she has served as a Teaching Assistant for the printmaking classes of renowned artists Orit Hofshi and Matti Harel at Shenkar College.
Over the past five years, Yael has co-founded several alternative non-profit exhibition/collective artist studios that primarily showcase young artists and host various artistic events in diverse media.
In October 2022, Yael debuted her first solo exhibition, "Under Construction," at the prestigious Maya Gallery in Tel Aviv. The exhibition featured a stunning series of 12 woodcut prints, each produced in a limited edition of only five prints.
Pasmanik's works portray the urban environment as it was abandoned, in an attempt to reflect the feeling of instability and loss of grip on reality. These are quick glances, everyday events that are supposedly unremarkable but reveal moments of that complex reality, chaotic in its emptiness. It seems the prints convey a sense of living in a liminal zone, between the disintegration of the space and its reconstruction.
With her extensive experience in printmaking and her passion for promoting emerging artists, Yael Pasmanik is a rising star in the Tel Aviv art scene, and her impressive portfolio of work continues to garner recognition and acclaim.
